Oh Holy Ceiling

There are a few sounds that human beings recognize immediately. When a horn beeps behind you on the road, you immediately straighten up and look around you to see who honked. When a cat begins purring, you know you have a happy cat. Some sounds are not immediately recognizable. For instance, when rain leaks through a slow leak in your roof, gets into your attic and insulation, then causes a large portion of your ceiling to collapse, you may not be able to pick it out immediately. You will, however, know that the loud crack and splash of debris and water onto the floor below is definitely not a good thing.
